The Reunion Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to military reunion organizations and individual Veterans. Whether you are planning the first reunion, preserving a long-standing event, or seeking assistance to participate in an educational opportunity that strengthens your reunion, RAF is here to help. Every application is individually reviewed by the RAF Board of Directors, with funding decisions based on demonstrated need, the potential impact of the assistance requested, and the availability of funds.

If financial challenges stand between you and your reunion goals, we encourage you to apply.

Eligibility

Military reunion organizations and individual Veterans are encouraged to apply for assistance. Because every reunion and every situation is unique, applications are evaluated on their own merits rather than against a rigid set of qualifications.

When reviewing requests, the RAF Board of Directors considers a variety of factors, including demonstrated financial need, the purpose of the request, the impact the assistance will have, the applicant’s commitment to responsible stewardship of funds, and the resources available through the Fund. Approval is based on the Board’s evaluation of each application and the funds available at the time of review.

To ensure accountability and the responsible stewardship of charitable contributions, RAF does not distribute funds directly to applicants. When assistance is approved, payments are made directly to the appropriate vendor or service provider, such as a hotel, motor coach company, caterer, airline, or other approved provider. This process helps ensure that every donated dollar is used for its intended purpose while providing meaningful assistance to the Veterans and military reunion organizations we serve.

Applications are reviewed as promptly as possible. Applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision following the review of their application. Response times may vary depending on the timing of Board meetings and the availability of funds.
